Bel
Ichbin Dream Whisper mit Rigrunner

Date of Birth: Monday 06 September 1999
Hips: 3:3
Eyes: Clear
Achievements:We wanted to continue having a non Husky after we lost Bafta, so we went back to look at the first breed that we had considered many years before and fully researched Large Munsterlanders. I am not sure many of the Breeders understood our wishing to see them in their home circumstances (a must in our opinion when looking at Sibes) but we decided we could cope with one and just as the Rally season arrived, so did 'baby' Bel. Dressed in an assortment of knitted coats she soon became a favourite on the racing scene. Show wise we managed a couple of Best Puppy in Breed at Championship Shows and some trips to Crufts. She handles badly for me, but Sally my friend shows her very well, when she can be blackmailed into it. She came 3rd in the Large Munsterlander Clubs' Sh Ch Foxbrae Spice Memorial Trophy for Top Puppy 2000. In 2003 at her 'lucky' show, East of England, she achieved her stud book number...I am so chuffed....thanks Sal!

A few words
Pet Names : Nobel, Bel, NO! Bel, Baggins, Bellybo, Belbobaggins, Ding Dong, Baggle.

Breeding : One of a large litter we regularly see her Sister Sadie and one of her Brothers, Murphy, at shows, she loves them both. People ask if we would breed from her - nope, if nothing else they have huge litters and we don't really want another one!

When Bel was just over a year we decided to try her in harness, hmmm rather a lot of leaf chasing and peering down other paths and a penchant for puddles. We continued to train her occasionally across that Winter and then asked for her acceptance on the ABSA Non-Sleddog Register. Her first race was in October 2001 at a new venue to ABSA called Wyre Forest where she, Emmy & Toni took Keith round in the fastest time of the day! She barks constantly at the start and you can tell at training or in a race if Keith has had to stop as she starts to bark again. At present she remains undefeated in all her races.

To live with she is very neurotic, afraid of water she will not swim but languishes in puddles instead. She is quite scared of birds so it's lucky we didn't want to train her to the gun, she is relatively obedient, new tasks take a while to sink in, but she does like to learn...anything for attention. Would We have another? No way! but we do love her.
