Having come to live with us at the age of two, he missed the Border Collies he'd grown up with and would sit and watch One Man & His Dog on the TV. He also always spotted Collies at a distance & looked longingly. He got on well with our Cats, allowing them to curl up with him, in the pre Husky days.

He loved all the girls as they came along, but found pups quite scarey, they probably moved to fast, so would steer clear of the two litters we had whilst he was here.

A true gentle giant, if attacked by another dog he would lay on it until the danger had passed. He was friendly to most dogs and used to adore Sammy a Japanese Shiba Inu he new.

He was calm & quiet & this often attracted Children to him, even ones scared of dogs and many a Kid has been cured of their fears thanks to him. He also came Morris Dancing with us, memorable. He tried running in harness, not for him, but he did love weekends away in the Woods.

Never the healthiest of dogs he managed a number of years longer than we thought he might, his hips had basically crumbled away, he had digestive problems and in the end his circulation was very poor. His heart gave out three weeks after we lost Bafta, we honestly think he gave up without her.
