Achievements:Our best placed dog for total showing ability, she so often stands either side of the green cards, however in 2003 she took the RCC's at both Birmingham & SKC. She adores showing which helps. In 2004 she became our first girl to achieve Best Bitch & Best Opposite Sex in Show at a SHCGB Open Show. Sadly her blindness have seen her retirement from the ring.

In the 2003/4 season she has really come into her own in the team and ran in lead for most of the races, being absolutely reliable for Keith.

A chip off her Mothers block, she can be a bit of a loner, but we love her dearly. On walks she likes to carry a bottle, any type will do from glass to plastic, from small to 2 litre. However we now have a tennis ball collection a the front door, and one is taken everyday and carried round the park.

Just before Aviemore 2005 she seemed unwell and was traeated by our Vet for a localised infection/injury. Keith had his best run ever on the Saturday in the C clas, with Toni, Emmy, Patsy & Juno just flying round. On Sunday it all went horribly wrong as Guy & I had to rush her to the Vets In Grantown-on-Spay, obviously seriously ill, just before the team ran. She was immediately sedated to stop her fitting, and kept in until the Tuesday afternoon. They felt she was stable, but had a balance problem. We knew as soon as we collected her that she couldn't see, and when she walked into the side of the house we were staying at, we knew it for certain. Having assured ourselves she was stable enough to travel, we rushed her home, popping into our Vets for a referral letter and arriving Friday am at Mr Masons for an emergency appointment. He diagnosed a meningitus type virus, which had left her blind in one eye, with the optic nerve completely detached, and with a 50% chance of saving the sight in the other eye with an agressive course of steroids and antibiotics. He also had grave concerns about her ability to continue living in a pack.
Toni did, and still continues to, amaze us with her ability to live completely blind. We couldn't save the sight, but that really doesn't seem to bother her. After a couple of growls when she bumped into them, the others seem to accept her as she is and make allowances. We continued to run her the following season, however with losing Emmy we really lost anyone to train her with so this year we have just walked her.
